No Kings Riverhead Parking and March Route Maps

Map of gathering place for Student Led March

Because of  insurance concerns, the Riverhead High School does not want us to suggest parking in its lots.  Parking in the Walgreen, Lidl, Target and Staples lots on route 58 is one option.  From 12 noon non-students can wait in their cars (or vigil with posters on the south side of 58) then join in the march as it passes by.  Another option is parking in the lot by the railroad station, leaving by 11:30, to walk to the high school where the students will gather.  That is very close to the rally at the Supreme Court, allowing an easy departure.  From the high school to Town Hall is a two mile one hour walk.

Map of rally area

Blue circled areas are available for parking.  Additional parking is available in the Town Hall lot south of Railroad Avenue.  Red circled areas are the Supreme Court and the parking lot used for No Kings assembly.  Handicap area for wheel chairs and folding chairs is behind the sidewalk at the west edge of the assembly lot closest to the Supreme Court steps.  Other folding chairs can be placed nearby.  Literature and conversation tables should go on the south east corner of the assembly lot.

Passenger drop off is on the north side of the assembly lot (Railroad Avenue).  In cases of special need, cars will be permitted to enter the assembly lot for drop off at the handicap area, but they cannot remain unless the driver is alone and is the person with serious physical limitations.

Route of the March

The march that begins at 12 noon at Riverhead High School should arrive at the Second Street entrance of Town Hall before 1 p.m.  The second stage march will leave from Town Hall about 1 p.m. to rally at the Suffolk County Supreme Court at 1:30 p.m.   Persons who want to be part of the initial gathering on the south side of Town Hall, but for whom such a march is too much, can go directly on Railroad Avenue from the north side of Town Hall to the Supreme Court.
